There is no concrete answer to this ... it can take from 24 - 72 hours, however we have witnessed Domains going live in as little as a half hour. The bottom line is, nobody knows.

This is easily done within your cPanel.

Google Webmaster Tools are free to use and is the method used when submitting a website to be crawled by Google.
